EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL E EDUCAÇÃO NÃO-FORMAL EM CONTEXTOS COMUNITÁRIOS VULNERÁVEIS
Abstract
A educação ambiental não formal é um tema de grande relevância, especialmente em comunidades carentes, onde a realidade socioeconômica limita o acesso ao conhecimento e à informação. Esses territórios frequentemente enfrentam desafios como falta de infraestrutura, escassez de recursos e vulnerabilidade social, fatores que impactam negativamente tanto o meio ambiente quanto a saúde da população. Este artigo tem como objetivo realizar um levantamento na literatura e analisar trabalhos referentes à educação ambiental não formal, buscando contribuir com essa vertente de pesquisa e com práticas coletivas voltadas ao cuidado ambiental. Para isso, foi realizada uma busca na base de dados SciELO, utilizando os seguintes descritores: “educação ambiental não formal” e “educação e cidadania ambiental”. Foram encontrados 33 artigos, dos quais 12 foram selecionados para análise. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de fortalecer a educação ambiental não formal, pois ela se apresenta como um instrumento fundamental para a construção de uma consciência crítica e reflexiva acerca das questões ambientais. Diferentemente da educação formal desenvolvida em espaços escolares e orientada por currículos predefinidos, a educação ambiental não formal ocorre em diversos contextos comunitários, por meio de associações, organizações não governamentais e projetos sociais. Essa abordagem prática e contextualizada possibilita uma interação direta com as realidades locais e favorece a formação de coletivos que compartilham conhecimentos e valores ambientais.
