MEMORY, HISTORY AND OBLIVION
Abstract
This article focuses on the themes of memory, history and forgetfulness, in addition to the relationships between them, discussing the role of perpetuating facts, events and what permeates them. It also reflects on the historian's role in avoiding oblivion and giving meaning and concept to historical facts. It seeks to demonstrate the importance and relevance of judicial documents as a historical source since they are not restricted to causes and verdicts, but are the representation of a world and perspectives of its times.
