O LOBBY DO BATOM DA CONSTITUINTE DE 1987 E 1988: UMA ANÁLISE DA PARTICIPAÇÃO DAS MULHERES E FEMINISTAS NA REDAÇÃO DA CONSTITUIÇÃO FEDERAL DE 1988
Abstract
O chamado “Lobby do Batom” foi um dos grupos sociais mais organizados dentro da Assembleia Nacional Constituinte de 1987 e 1988, tendo atuado ativamente na defesa dos direitos das mulheres. Inicialmente tendo sido denominado assim como uma forma de ridicularizar e menosprezar a atuação delas durante a constituinte, esse termo foi empoderado por elas, que passaram a utilizá-lo como forma de orgulho e para impulsionar a atuação feminista e feminina no reconhecimento dos direitos constitucionais das mulheres. Diante disso, a presente pesquisa tem como seu objetivo geral analisar a participação das mulheres e dos movimentos feministas durante o último processo constituinte brasileiro, que ocorreu entre 1987 e 1988, com o escopo de investigar a sua atuação, suas demandas e, também, suas conquistas no texto constitucional que seria promulgado em outubro daquele ano. Lançando mão da metodologia da pesquisa bibliográfica e alicerçado em bases teóricas feministas, o artigo pretende lançar luzes para uma parte do Direito Constitucional que ainda hoje, passados mais de trinta anos da feitura do texto constitucional, segue sendo esquecida por grande parte da doutrina jurídica do país. Assim, considerando a importância de se analisar a participação feminina e feminista em um dos momentos mais importantes da história constitucional brasileira, a pesquisa traz como resultados que a atuação delas foi imprescindível para os avanços obtidos naquela época em termos de direitos das mulheres.
